Does the Duracell Solar Battery offer backup?
Like most other inverters, the Duracell inverter range offers Emergency Power Supply, which activates within just 20 milliseconds to ensure that the Duracell solar battery can offer backup supply for your home. In EPS mode the Duracell configuration can supply back up power up to 26.1A (AC), and you can still generate power from your solar panels and use your stored energy.
In order to achieve this, a dedicated critical load Distribution Board has to be installed, which will then allow you to power your essential appliances (e.g., fridge, lights, Wi-Fi router), supporting critical circuits only. In the event of a power cut, you can activate “Power Cut Mode” in the Duracell Energy App, which will charge the battery to 100% and hold energy for 24 hours, waiting for grid failure. If a power cut is detected, the battery will automatically discharge to power the critical circuit. If no power cut occurs within 24 hours, the battery will return to normal operation.
