At Deege Solar, we believe in not only giving back to the planet, but our community also. That’s why we have chosen to help raise funds for the Little Princess Trust, to help support childhood cancer research, and to provide a real-hair wig to a child in need through a sponsored haircut.
Our Chief Digital Officer, Claudia has volunteered to cut 7 inches off her hair, to be donated to charity. Who will be the hairdresser you may ask? None other than our Managing Director, David Norman.

I've never considered myself as much of a hairdresser, but as this is a worthy cause, I am happy to give it a go as long as she signs a waiver not to sue me if she is unhappy with the end results.
All joking aside, we are stronger when we come together as a community. Just like we can't tackle climate change alone, we can't tackle cancer either. We like to give back to the community whenever we can, and want to use our platform to make a change not only in the energy sector but also in other aspects of life. I am very lucky to be surrounded by the team I have, who keep me grounded and remind me of the big challenges there are in life.

Why we are choosing to support the Little Princes Trust
The Little Princess Trust is an organisation which restores confidence and a sense of identity to children who have lost their hair due to cancer. Founded in 2016, the Little Princess Trust currently supplies around 2,000 wigs every year across the UK. Through fundraising, they are able to supply these wigs free of charge, to families in need of a helping hand.
Part of their donations also goes towards childhood cancer research. To date, they have committed more than £21 million across more than 100 projects covering all childhood cancers. How Can I Donate or Get Involved?
At Deege Solar we would be incredibly grateful if you could support us on this journey. Our current target is to raise £700, as this is the cost to manufacture and send out a single wig. We have set up a gofundme page that is linked directly to our chosen charity. Any size donation is welcomed. So let’s get fundraising! Every pound we raise helps us give Hair and Hope to all the young children suffering from cancer.
